Pin Curls
The idea is to pin part of the hair in a curled way to get curls. You’ll get the best results if you leave them overnight. They’re a bit time-consuming, but if you don’t want to apply external heat to your hair, go for it.
What you’ll need: Hairpins, lots of them!
Step 1: Start by sectioning slightly damp hair (1″ thick) into sections and wrapping them around your fingers to form a loop. Keep doing this until you reach the head.
Step 2: Lay the loop horizontally and secure with bobby pins. Do this for all hair sections in the front and back.
Step 3: You can wrap your hair in a scarf and let it sit overnight.
Step 4: The next morning, remove the pins and let the hair hang naturally into the curl/wavy.
Headband Curls
What would you do with curly hair if you were really impatient? You can also use a hair dryer to speed up the process!
WHAT YOU NEED: Elastic or cloth headband, hair clips, hair dryer are optional.
Step 1: Place the headband on your head, making sure to tuck your hair into the bottom of the headband.
Step 2: Wet hair from the middle to the ends.
Step 3: Take the thin pieces from the bottom and start wrapping them around the bottom of the headband. Secure each section with pins. Remember, the thinner the section, the tighter the curl. The ruffle part can also be blow-dried!
Step 4: Wrap the scarf and leave it overnight. Enjoy bouncy curls the next morning.
Braided Curls
Have you ever slept with your hair in a braid, only to have wavy hair the next morning when you unwrapped it? This is probably the most common and easiest way to create beautiful curls overnight.
What you need: lots of rubber bands, conditioner
Step 1: Shampoo at night, then apply conditioner to damp hair. Rubbing your hair instead of combing it.
Step 2: Next, take 4 hairs, two in the front and two in the back. Take at least three to four sections, braid and secure with elastic.
Step 3: Leave braids overnight and remove the elastic the next morning for enviably soft curls.
Roll up with chopsticks
Unlike all the tips listed above, this one is the easiest and gives the fastest results.
What you need: chopsticks or pencil, iron, conditioner
Step 1: Divide the hair into four parts, take out a thin hair bundle from each part, and wrap it with chopsticks or a pencil. The distance between the strands will determine how tight the curls will be.
Step 2: Once wrapped, press the heated flat iron onto the chopsticks and hold for about 15 – 20 seconds.
Step 3: Pull out the chopsticks and repeat the same operation for each part. Apply Serum for Clean, Frizz-Free Curls
